Melissa Wantz: Notes from West Egg

I've started this blog to process the changes I've decided to make in my teaching. As an English teacher for the past eight years, I've dabbled in technology, but now it's time to get on board and really use it. The reference to West Egg is from The Great Gatsby, of course, and the quote from Nick reminds me of where I'm at with this Web 2.0 stuff. A little lost, until someone even newer asks me a question. This year I'm changing schools, moving up from middle to high school, and will be working on a campus where technology is embraced and the adults are not scared. It feels like I'm rebooting my career.
